Central Coast Tours

Our fishing boat is a 36ft Steber fibreglass cruiser, powered by twin 285 Horsepower Yanmar Engines with a maximum cruising speed of 14knts.

We normally operate with a maximum of 10 passengers. If you have a bigger group please get in touch as we can usually accommodate more. 

We also operate a 28ft AB Inflatable sports RIB which can be used for non-fishing group charters

We operate under a fully accredited fishing charter license and exemption certificate which allows you to fish without an individual fishing license. These licenses are part of our annual fees with the department of primary industries who take care of our waterways and primary fishing industry.

Our fishing charters from Terrigal Depart from the Terrigal Boat Ramp which is located at the Terrigal Haven. Plenty of parking is available, Please park in appropriately designated spaces.

We also operate from Hardys Bay Jetty. It is located at the corner of Killcare Road and Araluen Drive. It is opposite the main shops which include Hardys Bistro, Fat Goose Cafe and Killcare Cellars. A great spot to grab a coffee before your boat charter.

What to Bring on Your Fishing Charter

What to bring?

Hat – something practical as it is often windy.

Sun Glasses are essential – a strap is recommended.

Drinking Water

Snacks / food

Sunscreen

A small amount of alcohol if you choose.

All of our boats are strictly non smoking.

Bring a cooler bag to take your fish home.

Sea sickness – many people to suffer from motion sickness, we recommend that you speak to your pharmacist for a suitable treatment. No refunds are available if you have to shorten your trip due to seasickness.

Terrigal Fishing Charters

Booking Information

  • Tours are in high demand we recommend booking online so that you receive full details by email.
  • You can also book over the phone on 0449999868 during business hours.
  • Shared Charters require full payment when you book.
  • A deposit is required for Private Charters, the balance of payment is required prior to the charter or on the morning of the charter.
  • You will not be permitted to board the vessel until full payment is made.
  • It is important that you enter your correct contact details as we may have to reschedule due to weather conditions.
  • Children are aged 5-15.
  • Minimum age is 3 for Private Charters and 5 for Shared Tours to ensure safety of your child.
  • It is an outdoor adventure so wear suitable clothing.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, spray jacket and clothing that can get a little wet are recommended. It is always cooler on the water.
  • Wear flat soled foot ware with good grip. You will be climbing in and out of a boat
  • Terrigal Ocean Tours reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken on its tours for its website, social media or other marketing material without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. Guests who do not wish to have their image recorded should advise the boat crew during the tour.

Cancellation Policy

  • Your safety comes first, tours are weather dependent. We may have to change the schedule at short notice.
  • If we cancel or relocate tours due to weather or factors beyond our control you have the option of rescheduling or a full refund of any payment. We do not compensate for your travel costs.

Guest Cancellations

If you cancel your booking the following will apply.

Private charter deposits are non refundable, if a cancellation is made more than 3 days prior to a tour we may be able to reschedule to a mutually agreeable date.

For shared charter bookings

  • All cancellations will incur a $10 administration fee.
  • No refund for cancellations made Within 24 hours of departure time.
  • 50% refund for cancellations made within 3 days prior to a tour.
  • 100% refund for cancellations made more than 3 days prior to a tour.
  • You are welcome to arrange someone else to take your place on the tour at no charge.
  • If we cancel a tour due to unsuitable weather we will give you the choice of a refund or reschedule to another date.
